Vintage Fenton Marigold Carnival Glass Stag and Holly Footed Bowl. 11" diameter x 4" height.
Ball-footed three-toed base. Sawtoothed rim, great irridescent colors, light and delicate glass thickness.
The Stag & Holly pattern features 4 Stags each surrounded by Holly leaves & berries, with a huge chrysanthemum in the center. This pattern is only on the inside of the bowl, while the bottom has a repeating fan shape to add depth to the light coming through the bowl. As is expected for Fenton glass of this age, there is no maker's mark on the bowl.
I believe this to be a Fenton original: The stag has oval/almond-shaped eyes, and a thin tongue that extends beyond the Stag's mouth. Subsequent fakes have different antlers, no tongue or a tongue that is even with the mouth and often have a bushy tail and differing stance.
The condition of this footed bowl is excellent with no known flaws. Please use the photos to assist your selection.
