M A Hadley Large Sugar Bowl w Handles Vintage American Pottery.
Growin up this always had sugar in it. There was never a lid on it. We had all the dishes that we used every day and then there was the rest of my mother’s collection that lived in the china cabinet…all the pieces we never used. She began collecting them in 1964 when she was married. Living in Columbus, OH, she continued to collect pieces in the 1960s and 70 in and around Columbus but also make treks to Louisville and purchased pieces directly from the pottery. This piece was probably a second. The closeup photos I have shown are not damage, but flaws - pre fire. The jar stands 3.75” stall and the opening at the top is 2.75” in diameter. This might not even ben the correct lid. I am listing a mustard jar that has a lid with a notch in it for a spoon - I would expect the sugar jar to have one, too…but this is the lid that fits this jar and it doesn’t have a notch. Give it a good home…it still has a job to do.
