Product worked like a charm on -2- nine foot garage doors that are 24 years old. I used a razor to remove old weather strip and used soapy water to aid on install, that and my wife helping feed the strip ( an extra set of hands pulling and pushing really helps).

Was a Quick Install with a Few Tricks

This is a great product and is a perfect replacement for the original 9-foot garage door seal. There are a few things I learned. 1. You load the sealer into the two grooves on the right-side of the garage door (looking into the garage). The left-side has stops that prevent it. With the right hand cup the sealer and with the left hand pull it across the length of the door in the t-grooves. I used a small stepladder to help me get close. 2. Spray some silicone with the little pipe into the two t-grooves before trying to install the garage door seal. It goes much easier. 3. Once the seal is fully installed (it will hit the stops at the end of the door), cut the excess door seal (it is 10-feet long) with a pair of scissors. Took about 10 minutes once I figured out how to do it. Inexpensive and much less than a professional repair.

SIMPLIFY .... Lubricate BEFORE your install!

This install is far easier than most reviews state. Taking out the old seal is the easy part, but if yours won’t come out? Squeeze the old T seal together and spray silicone or WD-40 all the way down the track. Squeeze, spray, squeeze spray. Installation (and a little common sense) of your new garage door bottom seal isn’t that difficult IF you clean the track (with a dry brush to remove stray debris), then lubricate the bottom door track with a silicon spray. Don’t use a spray that’s going to eat or degrade the rubber seal. Makes sliding your new bottom seal into position a whole lot easier.
